You know I love me some farmhouse style. You know I love me some crafts. Put them together and I'm all in.
I saw a wood bead garland in the HGTV magazine I read at the doctors office. It was so simple but pretty. It would look great just about anywhere. I had to have one. Upon looking around they ran around $30 bucks and higher. Not a bad price point but I wouldn't get the crafty satisfaction if I bought it.
Off to Michael's website I went to get my supplies. No way in poop and giggles was I going to attempt a solo trip to the craft store with all 5 kiddos. #crazybutnotthatcrazy
Today the lovely UPS man dropped off my box and I kid you not it took me all of about 3 minutes to whip this bad boy up.
Want one too? I made a un-tutorial tutorial just for you:
First. We need supplies.
I used 3 bags of these wood beads. Nothing special about them but oh so pretty. I thought this braided leather cord would be an awesome contrast with the beads so I got that too.
And now! We craft!
Unwrap some of your leather.
Open a package of beads.
Insert beads onto leather. Ignore Erin's terrible nail polish.
Continue until you've run out of beads or you like the length. Mine is about 6 feet long.
Cut the leather a little big so the garland can bend and move.
Tie good strong knots on both ends of garland.
Channel your inner JoJo and move said uber cute bead garland all around your house.
Above it's paying a visit to the bathroom window.
Try it out on different tables and in rusty denty vase.
Maybe drape it casually near your dust covered wedding picture. (Don't judge)
Henry tried to put it in the toilet but I was too busy tackling him to the ground before it made it in there to get a picture. #momlife
Anywho, there you have it. My 3 minute craft project for the day. I hope you love my un-tutorial tutorial on my uncrafty craft wood bead garland as much as I do! I think JoJo would be proud.
Shoot me a pic on Instagram if you make one yourself!
